Midjourney V.6 is Coming with Beautiful Text Generation before Christmas!🎅🏻
Hey there my creative friends! Welcome to another week of Midjourney updates!
This week, I am excited to see the launch of Niji Style Tuner. This gives users more control over the “personality” and style of generated images. You can now train your own style with Niji mode!
Plus, V6 will be coming before Christmas with stunning text generation! 🎅🏻

Niji Style Tuner
First, the Niji Style Tuner has launched, letting you create customized AI art styles with Midjourney anime specific style.
How to use Niji Style Tuner
Step 1: Use /tune and enter a prompt when directly using the Niji bot.
Step 2: This will generate a hyperlink, where you can choose between pairs of pictures to put in.
Step 3: Pick your favorites to generate an art style code for stunning tailor-made results with --style.
Everything works the same with Midjourney New Style Tuner. Check out this guide for more tips and tricks.
Notes:
- This does not combine with the current Niji styles
- Presently, this requires a large amount of fast hours! Experiment with a smaller set before activating the 128 styles option.

Tips on selecting the style:
You don’t need to choose numerous pictures to achieve a good style. Similar to a well-crafted cocktail, simplicity carries a great elegance.
The benefit of selecting a few pictures:
Picking a smaller number of pictures will yield a more unique cocktail. This implies that the style will suit a narrower range of subject matter but will likely be more easily distinguishable.
The benefit of selecting many pictures:
Choosing multiple pictures will produce a more robust cocktail. This means that the style will be applicable to a broader range of subject matter but may be less easily distinguishable.
Niji also comes with
- Cute: An adorable style that produces gentle pictures
- Default: The most creative style, great for drawing new concepts
- Expressive: A stylish, chic look with a Western influence
- Scenic: A cinematic look with strong dynamic lighting

Midjourney v5.3
Midjourney has decided to cancel the planned V5.3 release and instead go straight to launching V6.
- V5.3 would require re-learning a different prompting
- The current V5.3 quality is not good enough for the release
- Launching V5.3 could delay V6
By skipping 5.3, MidJourney can focus on optimizing V6 for launch by the end of 2023.
Midjourney v6 — In December 🎁🎄
Next, time for an update to the highly anticipated v5.3 and v6. According to the team, there will be no V5.3 but expect to see V6 for maximum improvements including
- Beautiful Text Generation: There will be two versions, one with text and one without with switches to turn on and off
- Enhanced Short Prompts: A better understanding of short prompts (1–2 sentences)
- Better Image Quality & Higher Resolution
- Enhanced Text Rendering
- Two weeks of internal testing underway
Expected release: December

Midjourney Website
Midjourney has also released some updates based on user feedback to improve the overall experience. Here are some of the key changes:
- Improved Image Labeling — 2x/4x upscales are now tagged
- Flexible Search — Users can now search the image gallery without worrying about keyword order.
- Enhanced Parameter Search — Parameter search currently supports
--v, --ar, --seed, --chaosand--stop. You can now search within parameters like v, ar, seed etc using the-- prefix. More options coming soon. - Open in Discord links — Images now include a handy link to open them directly in Discord.
- Better Download Filenames — Individual downloads from grids now include the grid ID for easier organization.
- Streamlined Batch Actions — The “Download All” and “Publish All” buttons are more conveniently located.
Phrase 2 In Active Progress
An art downloader and collections are in progress. Soon, generating images directly on the site will be available, starting with users who have generated 10k+ images.
An enhanced explore page is also nearing release.

Phase 1 GPU Cluster: Faster image generation and lower costs
The rollout of our Phase 1 GPU cluster is now complete. All users can now experience a 1.5x Faster Rendering Speed and a 1.5x Reduction in Cost for V5.2 renders compared to the original launch cost and speed.
3D
Midjourey is working on determining the specific quality requirements for the 3D models. They may explore training a new model to work with the data.
Niji 6
Expect to see Niji 6 after the release of V6. Meanwhile, create amazing animated graphics with the New Niji App.
