Midjourney V.6 is Arriving before X’mas 🎄Image Generation On Website Incoming!
Enhanced Aesthetics, Image Prompting, Better Upscaler and New Style Tuner Incoming!
Hello guys! It’s time for another round of updates from Midjourney Office Hours.
With the upcoming release of Midjourney V6 in December, we can look forward to upgrades including image quality, prompting, and creative possibility plus a new style tuner and character consistency coming afterward.
We can also expect image generation and a new explore page on their website in 1- 2 weeks.

Midjourney V6🎅🏻
For V6, Midjourney is currently focusing on refining the final image quality. The prompting system will undergo some changes, such as using cleaner prompts and reducing unnecessary words.
They are also working on improving the image prompting feature, which will most likely include a 2x2 grid and 1024 resolution, along with a better upscaler.
This latest version boasts major improvements, including:
- Improved Image Prompting
- A 2x2 grid and 1024 resolution
- Better Upscaler
- Enhanced Coherence & Aesthetics
- Improved Language Understanding
- More Realistic Appearance, including improved textures and lighting
Estimated Release: December🎄🎁
Probably in the third or fourth week of December
Not all current features will be available upon launch, but there are plans to add to its capabilities in subsequent updates.
While it will still have limitations, rest assured that progress is ongoing, with even more improvements in Version 7🚀
A New Tuner 🎨
A New Tuner optimized specifically for V6 will also be created, as the V5 Style Tuner won’t be compatible.

Image Download Selectors and Collections✨
The next upcoming feature for the website will be a collection and art downloader on the website. This makes organizing and exporting our AI creations much easier.
- Collection: scheduled for release this week
- Downloader: planned to be implemented next week.
Phrase Two — Image Generation✨
By next week, On-site image generation will be launching, starting with the most active users- those who have generated over 10k images.
Afterward, they will gradually enable it for users with 5K/2K/1K images created, in phrases.
New Explore Page✨
In December, a new Explore page will be launched on the website, providing an improved way for users to discover and interact with content.

After the release of V6, the focus will shift towards training video models
Video and 3D 🎥
The approach to video model training will be unique, aiming to surpass current market standards.
3D development is progressing, with the team addressing data limitations to deliver an exceptional experience.
Style Consistency 🎨
The team is putting continued efforts into enhancing character and style consistency. This is probably the most exciting feature that I am looking foward to!
Rating Party⭐️
An internal rating party is scheduled for next week, followed by a community rating party for all Midjourney members.
