Want to Make a Change? Don’t Forget to Time-Block

Why time-blocking can make or break you forming a new habit.

Large grey and white analog clock breaking off into many smaller clocks.

Here’s the scenario:

You’ve gone out and done a lot of deep thinking, not only about your long term product career plans, but also in how you operate day-to-day in your current role.

You have a solid list written that outlines what’s going well right now and is in line with your North Star, and what you need to change immediately to feel more calm, centred, and like you’re putting your energy into the right things based on your desired outcomes.

You’re motivation is at an all-time high and you’re ready to change! This is amazing! You’ve done a lot of hard work to end up here!

But…Now what?

A high percentage of product managers stop here. They do all of this work, and then Monday comes around and they get swept into the regular ebbs and flows of life lived on autopilot.

This doesn’t have to be the case.

Change is hard — that’s a known. Once you’ve determined what, specifically you want to change, one of the best things you can do is immediately create a system to support this change.

Time Blocking Your System
