User-Centric Design: The Key to understand UX Design
UX Design is a field where we understand the “User.” UX is all about how a person or a user feels and experiences a product. A product can be software, webpage, poster, or packet of chips.
While Designing a product, a team of UX Designers works together on four concepts to make a product feel and experience good. These four concepts are Usable, Equitable, Enjoyable, and Useful. All the concepts make a “Good” User experience.
UX Designers work hard to understand how they can make the experience good for them. There is when the concept of User-Centric Design comes. User-Centric Design is when the user is given the highest priority while designing a product. This framework helps designers understand and improve the experience. This framework is divided into two parts:- Research and Design.
Let us now try to understand Research and Design. Research consist of 2 phases:
- Discover: In this phase, we discover our user’s challenges? What are the pain points?
- Define: After understanding the challenges and pain points, these things are communicated with the team. How we improve them.
Later after the Research part, the Design part is covered. The design also consists of 2 phases:
- Develop: The phase where the teams collaborate and develop a working prototype for users to get feedback.
- Deliver: In this phase, after incorporating the changes found from user feedback, another iteration of the prototype is designed until a final version is created.
All these concepts are involved in a good user experience design. User-Centric Design framework is important for a team to deliver a product that interacts with everyone whose using it.
