You may have noticed that your iPhone is using more battery than usual. The good news is that there are several tricks you can use to improve battery life. These tips include turning off Wi-Fi, minimizing screen brightness, and shutting off background app refresh. In addition, you should turn off the music and Wi-Fi when not in use. If you’re wondering how to extend the battery life of your iPhone, read on to discover the one simple trick to boost your phone’s battery life.

Background App Refresh

If you want to extend the life of your battery, turn off Background App Refresh. By default, your iPhone keeps apps in the background and will present new content each time you open them. This feature is especially useful for social media apps, which will push new content to the top of your screen every time you open them. Background App Refresh does not drain your battery, but it will use a fair amount of data if you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.

While using your iPhone, don’t close apps manually. Manually closing apps drain battery life. Leaving apps open for longer than they should and manually closing them is a great way to waste battery power. Alternatively, you can close apps with ‘background activity or delete them altogether. By turning off Background App Refresh, you can save your battery life for hours and even days.

Turning off Wi-Fi

When you’re not using your iPhone, turn off Wi-Fi. While cellular data consumption is comparatively high, Wi-Fi is much more energy-efficient than cellular data. So, when possible, use Wi-Fi instead of cellular data when you’re at home. However, turn Wi-Fi off when you’re not near a Wi-Fi network. This will enhance your iPhone’s battery life.

Similarly, turn off the ambient display, which shows notifications to you when you’re not using your device. This feature is available under the Display and Lock screen options. Turn off audio playback. Using headphones or other devices with audio output will help to extend your battery backup. And if you don’t want to turn off Wi-Fi, you can try the other techniques mentioned above.
