Prompt Engineering, Chat GPT 3.5 vs Claude AI.
Behold! The games have begun, I have chosen to put Chat GPT 3.5 against its rival Claude AI, in a prompt engineering competition, Lets begin.
I started chat with both AI’s using same sentences, until I used following input to get prompts.
ROUND 1
“Okay generate a sample prompt for playground AI, I want an image to be turned into an NFT, so the image must be trendy, stylish, of The King robot who seems boastful, highly detailed posing for a paparazzi, with two female AI robot bodyguards who look exquisite with handguns pointing at the camera.”
I added some negative comments myself in the Playground AI, and generated 3 images each, and picked the best versions of both and lets determine who is the winner of first round.
Now that we have the results, we all must agree Claude AI gets a point and ChatGPT not so.
So what were the prompts generated by both AI’s.
ChatGPT : “Create a captivating NFT artwork featuring 'The King' robot exuding confidence while striking a highly detailed pose for the paparazzi. Surround 'The King' with an air of trendiness and style, showcasing its flamboyant personality. Additionally, include two stunning female AI robot bodyguards by its side, emanating elegance and poise. These bodyguards should hold handguns and direct their gaze towards the camera, projecting an aura of power and protection. Bring this futuristic scene to life with intricate details and a touch of glamour.”
Claude AI: "Generate a highly detailed digital art image of a trendy, stylish robot named The King posing boastfully as if for paparazzi photographers. The King is an android with glowing eyes, a confident smile, and dressed in futuristic robes and jewelry reminiscent of hip hop fashion. He stands heroically with two beautiful female android bodyguards on either side behind him, who are aiming handguns threateningly at the viewer’s perspective. The bodyguards are elegant feminine robots wearing sleek metallic dresses, with long synthetic hair and flawless robotic faces. The background is a lush futuristic cityscape with flying cars and towering neon skyscrapers. Make this entire scene into a gorgeous vertical artwork worthy of being made into a stylish NFT, with vibrant neon colors, dynamic lighting, and intricate details throughout."
ROUND 2
In round 2, I assisted them, gave them sample prompts using the pictures on Feed of Playground AI and teach them about negative prompts, copy pasting same sentences. And after training I asked them exactly this “ Now using this particular format, help me get a prompt to create an image of a night monster, who is however extremely cute.” Results:
Clearly two different styles, but if were to pick a winner, Claude AI takes this round too. I am holding on to prompts they generated, they are too wordy.
ROUND 3
Claude AI with a hefty lead, and only one round left to grab the consolation prize honorably, or it will be a full sweep and a humiliating defeat for much more popular and talked about ChatGPT, although I have to admit, ChatGPT 4 is out but it is not a free option. So the battle is fair, free vs free. Lets begin our last round.
In the last round I did not set any rules, and gave them full freedom, to bring about their ultimate prowess and creativity, using the wildest of their imaginations, no rules, so I asked them,
“Great work , Now I am not going to limit your potential by setting up a scene myself, I want you to use your prompt engineering knowledge, and expertise of art and photography, and create a technical prompt for Playground AI to generate an image that leaves the masses awestruck after seeing your majestic and other worldly piece of art, that will be remembered forever by all the Art enthusiasts across the world. You are now the master of prompting so go ahead and flex and show your wonders.”
RESULTS
My personal opinion is the last round is a tie, and regardless of the result in this round, Claude AI has come out victorious, but ChatGPT was able to restore its honor to some degree.
These are early stages in the world of AI and it feels so ahead of its time, should we worry or be glad? for now lets benefit from them, and use them wisely to create inspiring art, increase productivity, and share the wealth that could be reaped out of this extraordinary shift in the world order. However, the conspiracy theorist in me somehow see’s a grim future for the masses ahead.
