Our Favorite Courses on Human Centred Design and User Experience Design

When we started the UX Design team at the ICRC around 2 years ago many of our colleagues asked if there was a course on human centered design and/or user experience design that they could do in their own time to upskill and learn more about the methodologies. We compiled a list of our current favorites on our internal wiki page — and today we’re sharing them with you!

Here’s the public version of what we shared internally for anyone else who is interested in learning more about using a design approach on their projects and initiatives. Enjoy the overview, and if you have any courses you’d add to the list, please share them in the comments!

Design Kit — IDEO.org’s Online Course on Human Centered Design

This is a 7-week online course created by IDEO.org. It introduces the concepts of human-centered design to those working towards social change. Over the duration of the seven weeks, participants collaborate in design teams to complete online and offline coursework, and are then encouraged to apply human-centered design to challenges of their own.
