MidJourney V5 is Incredible! Everything You Need To Know!

Midjourney is making quite a stir in the AI-driven image creation space.
Followed by the launch of Midjourney Magazine, Midjourney 5 is also out and sparking waves this week!
After 5 months of hard work and training on a second model trained on AI supercluster, the introduction of new neural architectures and aesthetic techniques will provide an extensive variety of distinct possibilities!
Today, the team made an announcement of an alpha-testing of V5. Let’s dive right in to see what is new with the V5 base model!
Changes with Midjourney V5
1. Wider Stylistic Range
A much wider range of stylistic options can be readily prompted for desired changes. It will also be more responsive to prompting.
Let’s see some of the images from the Misjourney version 5 showcase.
2. Higher Resolution
Incredible improvements in image quality — with a whopping 2x increase in resolution and dynamic range!
As of now, there is no V5 upscaler and it inherits the same resolution from upscaled V4, making all the images look sharper and clearer. If you click upscale it will just instantly give you that one image by itself.
With the increased number of moderators and better moderation tooling, we can expect more realistic images in Midjourney V5.
The system default is more photographic.
To get more artistic style images, add artist names, art styles, media sources, and genres in your ptompt. For an even more inspiring experience just add — stylize 1000 to the end of your prompt
3. Greater Clarity and Precision
We can now get more detailed images while unwanted text is minimized. It’s a great way to ensure accuracy in the output!
We can see an improvement in coherency. In — v 5 you’ll notice fewer chaosblobs. Faces and hands are dramatically improved.
4. Broader Aspect Ratio Options
— ar aspect ratios greater than 2:1
In — v 5 you can create much wider and much narrower canvas sizes. Try any aspect ratio you like.
5. Image prompting [ — iw ]
With — iw, you can adjust the relative importance of image URLs compared to plain text. By default, the value is 0.25 but you can control it manually by including — iw in your command line.
Utilizing higher — iw values can make a huge difference in the quality of the finished product, as it will be more deeply influenced by the initial image prompt.
6. Improved Natural Language Processing (NLP)
In Midjourney V5, your prompts will be even more effective if they are structured in the form of sentences rather than a list. This is sure to make a big difference in the clarity and readability of your prompts.
Try writing as you learned in school.
For example, An astronaut floating in outer space may produce more predictable results than astronaut, floating, outer space.

API & Midjourney Version 6!
Midjourney’s AI is truly amazing and if you’re interested in leveraging its power to create new applications, the team hinted during office hours that they will be releasing an API for Midjorney. This is definitely something to look forward to!
And we can also expect Midjourney Version 6 to come within the next 2 months!
