Starting 13 September 2022, we’re running the second cohort of the Optimal Week with a small international group of people interested in designing, testing, reflecting and iterating great lives, one week at a time. Is that you?

The Optimal Week is a simple but profound way of consciously living a great life, one week at a time. The Optimal Week challenges you to consider both your productivity and well-being — and to design the essential elements that, when done in a week (vs. in a day), create the conditions for a happy, healthy and meaningful life.

When speaking with friends and colleagues about the Optimal Week, one of the number one questions I’m asked is: Is this for me?

This is for you if:

  • You’re switched on, successful and consider yourself to be relatively productive, and/or
  • You feel overwhelmed, on a treadmill and have a nagging sense that there has to be more to life than this, and/or
  • You want to feel better — more alive and excited — when you wake up each morning, and/or
  • You like productivity, but would like to feel good, too, and/or
  • You could give a hoot about productivity; you’d just like to get through today, having managed to do more of the things that matter, or even just one of those things, thank you very much, and/or
  • You’re managing too many things and can’t see how you can possibly make time for an Optimal Week, and/or
  • You love the idea of designing and testing out some ideas you have to make your life a great one, and/or
  • You don’t think there’s only one way to a happy life and you embrace playing with your own plan (or playdoh or piano or whatever), and/or
  • The thought of testing your ideas for just seven days (and watching what happens) sounds right up your alley, and/or
  • Some of your favourite words are flexibility, experimenting, reflecting, innovating, learning, designing, iterating, playing, forgiving, and/or
  • You’re an over-achiever and you like to do things “right” and you have a million to-do lists, and/or
  • You’re in the middle of a move or starting a new job, and/or
  • You’re looking for something new, a new job, a new life, a new something or other (but it’s not clear yet what), and/or
  • Time is not your own, and/or
  • Time is your own, but you haven’t figured out how you want to fill it yet, and/or
  • You have 3–4 hours per week to learn how to do something that will change how you live the rest of your life.

Does that sound like you?

By joining the Optimal Week Challenge, you’ll learn how to identify the elements and conditions you need (and want) to make your next week, and the rest of your weeks, all kind of wonderful. You don’t have to fly off to a tropical island or attend a meditation retreat on the top of a mountain in Nepal to start experiencing more meaning or fun or productivity or happiness. You can do it from where you are, right now.

And starting on 13 September 2022, we’ll do it together. Join me and a bright, motivated international cohort of like-minded people to do the Optimal Week at the same time, spread out across the globe. We’ll not only hold you to account but together, we’ll accelerate each other’s learning.

We’ve just a few spots left at the early bird rate, so if you’re interested and have questions and/or want to know more, write to julie@optimalweek.com. The early bird rate ends on 2 September 2022. We hope you’ll join us.
