I finally found the best note taking app after trying multiple apps within the past year
Quick Backstory
Before I begin this article I want to say that in the past couple of months I have been switching apps every now and then with the hopes to find the best note-taking app. While trying these different apps I found out that within each of the app there was something that I was missing.
For example, with Notion I had to spend a lot of time setting the scene for the page and I felt like it wasn’t really worth it especially after having a lot of notes and you get to witness the slow loading times of these pages, while with apps like Logseq and Roam Research I didn’t like the way notes were organized as well as how their mobile apps functioned.
I tried outliner note taking apps of which Logseq and Roam Research is a part of and with a few more such as Reflect and RemNote but I actually ended up not really appreciating them as much and found myself back in that same circle of looking for a tool that would provide power, great design as well as security.
After searching and searching, trying and trying I finally landed on an app that I was aware of throughout all my time searching for a note-taking app but didn’t give it a try just because it looked very complex and hard to learn.Well, I guess I was wrong.
What note taking app is this?
Before I present this app I want to let everyone know that the app I am going to talk about isn’t quite straight forward as other apps such as Notion, Craft, Bear and many others it will require just a little bit of getting familiar with of which you can achieve with only a single youtube video, and once you are all set it is going to prove being worth every single second of your time.
Meet Obsidian
Hey hey, hear me out before you put that face and let out that “aaaaghhh” in disappointment because let me tell you something, I was feeling the exact same way every-time people talked about Obsidian but one day I decided to sit down and watch a couple of YouTube videos and wow it was the best decision I made.
A lot of people see Obsidian as this tool that mostly benefits people like students…
