The simplest way to write an eBook.
You honestly don’t need expensive tools and programs, even if you’re just an aspiring writer. The point is to just keep writing, the more you do, the better you will get. That is the only way to become a professional writer, is to keep writing.
You can start with simple tools like Microsoft Word, or even PowerPoint to create your eBook. Then use a free image and video design and an editing software tool called Canva. You do not have to spend money to write an eBook (or publish it for that matter).
There are, however, a few things you must include in your eBook when using Word for instance. Because you will later save it as a PDF once done for free giveaways.
But you will use the Word document to copy and paste your work into the publisher’s editing tools. We will get to that in a bit because there are 2 different types of eBooks.
Those you give away for free (with affiliate offers), and those you publish and sell (without affiliate offers). Because publishers do not accept affiliate offers in eBooks. We will discuss these two types of eBooks a bit more later. Just be sure to include the following.
Add a Book Cover.
Add a Header.
Add a Footer.
Ad a Notice to the Reader.
Table Of Contents.
Introduction (Author Bio).
Content.
Disclaimer.
We’re not going to get into the whole step-by-step of eBook writing and creation because that is an eBook on its own. But I will take you through the basics, more importantly, how to get published in over 40 online bookstores.
Above is an illustration of a good way to start your eBook. Including the cover, the required “note to the reader”, and the table of contents. Add all the sections as mentioned above, in that order. After the table of contents comes the author bio.
Introduce yourself to your readers and show your face so they can recognize you across the internet. Share your experience and your journey, so your readers can relate to you. Tell a story while offering a solution.
Below is an example of the “Note to the reader”, but this will be different for every eBook or topic. It’s kind of like a disclaimer, but the disclaimer at the end of your eBook is rather lengthy.
I strongly suggest searching the internet. There are several disclaimer notices available that you can use completely free. But I leave the research up to you.
1 — This eBook is a guide and serves as a first guide. In addition, please get additional expert design advice.
2 — This eBook is based on affiliate link traffic techniques and methods researched and tested by the Author.
3 — The analytic demonstrations are real, and nothing is manufactured.
4 — This eBook content and illustrations are primarily of a tutorial and guidance nature.
5 — The products offered are affiliate products from networks where the author is an affiliate.
6 — You do not have to purchase anything to be able to drive high-quality targeted traffic.
7 — The author purchased and tested all traffic tools in this eBook personally and are using them still.
8 — Purchasing any of the affiliate products offered means the author earns a commission for the purchase.
9 — This eBook serves as a basic guide and may require further research while following the steps.
10 — Do not skip any steps or this traffic technique will not work for you.
11 — Results within 6 days will depend on how well you follow the tutorial and engage in further research. This is a technique and not a magic button.
Please don’t copy this and use it as your own, you must write your own “Note to the reader” based on your eBook content. The above serves merely as a demonstration of what it might look like just to give you an idea.
Microsoft Word has many tools you can use to write stunning eBooks, as does PowerPoint. Just get to know your way around these two. Blocks and coloured blocs to focus attention as illustrated below.
Including images, screenshots, and so much more to “spice up” your eBook and keep your reader entertained. Microsoft Word or PowerPoint is all you need for my strategies in this article to work for you.

While eBooks are an excellent way to generate sales with affiliate marketing and build large lists through giveaways. With publishing and selling your eBooks, those privileges are revoked. You cannot include affiliate offers in eBooks that you want to publish.
Publishers will not accept and publish your eBooks when they contain affiliate offers. We will get to making money with eBooks and affiliate marketing later. This chapter is about publishing and selling your eBook. But you can profit from affiliate marketing too.
As illustrated below, the publisher is called BookRix. They will publish your work in all major online bookstores completely free. All you have to do is copy and paste your eBook from your Word document into their editor.
It’s really simple to do. Just take your time and get to know how to use the editor inside BookRix. They even provide you with book cover templates you can use, still 100% free!
When I say all major online bookstores I’m talking about Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google Books, Apple Books, Thalia, and many more. Over 40 more online bookstores.
What’s the “catch”? You might think. Does BookRix publish your eBook in all those bookstore giants for free? Yes, I guess the “catch” is the fact that they take 30% of your book sales when you start selling.
In my opinion, that is more than fair, because they handle all the publishing. And your eBook is available in all those massive online bookstores within days!
After the 30% deduction, the remainder of your sales is automatically transferred into your PayPal account. But there is another option to sell your eBooks (where you can include affiliate links), by uploading the PDF files to a site called Spring (Formerly Teespring).
Those are your two best publishing options, in my opinion. If you don’t want to spend a tiny fortune that is. But as mentioned before, we’re just kind of looking at the “structure”. Writing the eBook, the design, and the quality of the content still is entirely up to you.
Writing an eBook for a free giveaway with affiliate marketing.
There are 2 ways I know of writing eBooks with affiliate marketing to generate sales. The one we have just mentioned a moment ago (Spring or Teespring). But the other is free giveaways.
But you can choose to both publish and give away free copies. It’s your eBook, you own the content. But to include affiliate offers, you simply edit the Word document version slightly before saving it as a PDF.
I like to place an affiliate offer in the footer of the eBook. That way it automatically shows on all pages. But regardless of whether you publish and sell your eBook.
Or if you choose to use it for affiliate marketing sales purposes. Your eBook content must still offer a solution, provide an answer, or present a guide that works to solve a problem.
Because your eBook is also your means of building recognition and gaining your audience’s trust with your solutions. It must never be just about the sales, your job as a writer is to offer value.
You can choose to give away your free eBooks for several reasons. Gaining subscribers for an email list, increasing subscribers on Medium, for instance, assisting people who ask for your help.
I have done a few Medium posts where I offer my eBooks for free. But I am also offering 2 of my top eBooks to my new Medium subscribers. When readers subscribe to receive my Medium stories via email.
Then they automatically receive 3 free giveaways. 2 Free traffic eBooks, and 23 free and hosted affiliate niche storefronts that work with Clickbank. We all like free stuff, and that is why this strategy is so effective.
But again, you must offer value, so your readers can recognize you for that. When you do, the word will spread, and more people will subscribe just to get your free eBooks. Quality boosts “word of mouth”.
And there is no advertising strategy more powerful than “word of mouth”. That is why it is so important to include an author bio, showing your face. You cannot leverage “word of mouth” when people don’t know who you are and what you look like.
eBooks that work well for digital marketing.
Because your eBook should address and provide a solution to a commonly identified need when it comes to affiliate marketing. I find that eBooks with “how-to”, and “step-by-step” guides work well.
I think the most commonly identified need with digital marketing, affiliate marketing, and making money online is to get more traffic and sales. But this is where the proverbial “plot thickens”.
Coming up with new content marketing strategies to turn into high-quality eBooks can take months. 2 of my own best eBooks as illustrated below, took months to complete.
Because any traffic strategy takes time to build up analytic results. And you must prove to your readers that your content marketing strategy works, therefore you need the screenshots, which take time.
Content marketing strategies are the heart of any means of making money online. Because it is the cornerstone of high-quality traffic, the trick is to assemble an effective content marketing strategy.
As with most of your content when it comes to digital marketing or affiliate marketing. When it is unique (nowhere else available on the internet), it attracts a lot more attention. Yes, you can use PLR eBooks as free giveaways.
But the “problem” I have with that is that thousands of other people are giving away the same thing. Besides, when you write your eBooks you don’t need to worry about license rights and all the PLR blah, blah, blah.
Just do the research and write an eBook that will solve your audience’s problem. No matter what niche you’re in. When your content solves problems, answers questions, and offers guides it will be in demand rather soon.
