Wrapped up an exciting design sprint for ‘Hangout,’ the dating app tailored for outdoor activity enthusiasts!

I’ve added a feature that enables users to share their favorite outdoor activities and future plans, giving profiles an extra layer of charm beyond just photos. Who knows, that hiking buddy or cycling partner for your next adventure might be just a ‘Hangout’ away! 💑

I definitely can’t wait for the time to make our work come to life. Your valuable feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Design Solution

Personality Quiz
After onboarding and creating an account, users will be prompted to provide information such as their preferred activities and the best time for a first date. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to select their outdoor interests.

The answers and choices made by users will be displayed on their profiles and play a vital role in improving the accuracy of matching by helping them connect with potential matches who share similar outdoor interests.

Find a Potential Partner
Users can immediately begin their search for potential partners. This search can take place on either the swipe page or the explore page.

Users can view others’ stories to gain insights into their interests and activities. The story feature provides a captivating perspective, letting users see more than just photos and adding depth to profiles, especially for those who share outdoor interests. By viewing their stories, users can find more engaging conversation starters beyond just saying ‘hi’.

However, users can’t respond to these stories unless they have already made a match. Once matched, users are free to begin their conversation.

Found a Match!
When users come across a potential match, they can swipe right. Once a match is established, users can start a conversation right away.

Users have the freedom to initiate a conversation with a simple ‘hi’ or by responding to the individual’s stories. When engaging with stories, users can naturally transition to relevant topics based on what the person has shared in their stories.

Start Chatting
All responses to the stories sent by user, as well as the replies user receive, will show up in the chat room. This way, users can easily keep their conversation going with their matches.

Users can view not only their own stories but also the stories of their recent matches on the Chat page.
