This weekend, I learned something about taking a break by not looking at my phone nor doing anything. And it’s so refreshing when you take time to recharge and be refreshed again! It was awesome because before this, I worked. But after reading another notable piece of literature with no links whatsoever (and getting some fresh air), suddenly everything changed: now every word felt like gold — even if they weren’t. So let’s see if anything has enlightening for you this weekend? Try and learn something beneficial to take some time for yourself, without any distraction. It can be so refreshing. Have you ever had a day where the design seemed too much? Sometimes I get that feeling. It can be exhausting, and I feel like giving up, but then something clicks on me. There have been so many times when someone has been inspired by what I do, or they come back with some new feedback that will help push my work even further than before.

Designing can be such an intense process, it takes commitment to get the design right. It’s easy for designers to get caught up in their work. Sometimes pressure is on and deadlines are looming, but what is the best way to take some time out? You will quickly learn how to manage things quickly to renew your mental energy. So when Monday rolls around again, nothing will have prevented you from getting back into productive mode immediately.

It is this mode that helps you push through what you need to do. We all need a little break from time to time. You cannot be on top of your game and design everything yourself. It’s so important for us designers to recharge ourselves with some extra work or even completely take care of yourself. You don’t want to feel exhausting all the time, it’s better to step into our profession. It’s just one step at a time to make your mind feel fresh and recharge.

I know it’s hard to care for yourself, but we have to. So it’s a good habit to take a break for yourself and get the recharge to 100%. Being 100% will go a long way. You can, you can!
