I have found that the questions I get asked most often are: “Do you have any book recommendations” or “What books are on your shelf?”

First off, thank you to those of you who have been asking me this question (or any form of it) as it has inspired me to read more. And second, I have decided to create a curated list since I think books are a super helpful tool to easily increase our skill sets. Many of these lists exist. However, I find that the same few titles seem to circulate and a lot of them are outdated. My aim is to provide a list of more relevant books that I have found helpful since I began my UX career.

Before diving into the list I want to clarify two things.

  1. This is going to be an on-going list, where I update 3 books every 2 months. (This is the goal, so those of you who know me please keep me accountable. And those who don’t, I’m sorry if work and life at times create delays in updating this list!)
  2. Don’t expect to go scrolling and find The Design of Everyday Things here. I think it's time we pass the baton and say goodbye to 1998, and hello to 2021!

Drum roll, please! Let’s release the first six books!
