Samsung is Currently Testing Android 14 on Galaxy Devices
Samsung has begun rolling out beta versions of its One UI 6 software update, which will be based on the upgrades and added features of Android 14.

Samsung's One UI 5 was heavily based on Android 12, and their newest update, One UI 6, is expected to be inspired by Android 14. The update is currently in beta testing and is expected to begin rolling out to Galaxy devices in the coming months. This is a major step for Samsung as its major selling point for its products is the development of its One UI.
As a major player in the flagship Android market and a direct competitor to Pixel devices, Samsung is wise to implement organized software. Manufacturers like Samsung have been customizing the look and feel of their software to match their brand identity, adding features that appeal to their target market.
Google has been releasing beta versions of its Android operating system, which is expected to be available to the public in the fall. In the meantime, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) like Samsung have the option to continue testing the software to ensure that it is fully optimized and functional in time.
The most notable announced features of Android 14 are:
- More fonts and more scaling options
- Reinforced Security
- Health Connect Upgrades
- Large Display Optimization
- Notification Flashing
The specific upgrades that Samsung plans to add to their One UI are officially unknown, but the company has a history of adding improved features on top of Google’s major OS upgrades.
