Staying on top of trends in the industry, absorbing new information and ensuring up-to-date with current technologies is a big part of a designer’s job description.

But sometimes, finding the right and credible resources to help you grow professionally takes a lot of work.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been exploring Skillshare for research for a new project and have found some great courses for UX Designers.

It took me some time initially, but I eventually found myself gravitating towards certain classes, which I’d like to share in this article.

These classes offer something for everyone regardless of experience level or speciality area within UX design.

The best thing about taking these courses is that they are taught by experienced professionals who can provide valuable insight into this ever-evolving field. Learning from their experiences has helped me understand what goes into creating successful designs and how small changes can lead to significant improvements.

1. Intro to UX: Designing with a User-Centered Approach

Cinthya Mohr, Sr. UX Manager at Google

The teacher for this course is Cinthya Mohr, a Sr. UX Manager at Google. It covers the basics of UX design and how to approach it from a user-centered perspective.

The course is only 45 minutes long, but it’s crammed with helpful information for anyone looking to get into UX design. The first thing Mohr covers is UX design and how it differs from other types of design. She then goes over the basics of user research, explaining how to use surveys and interviews to gather data about your users’ needs and wants.

From there, you move on to Iterative Design Processes, showing how you can use these tools to turn your user research into tangible designs. Finally, she wraps up…
