6 Chrome extensions made for designers

The ones that I actually use regularly.

Is your Chrome extensions library looking a little bloated? Over the years, I’ve tested many extensions and slowly whittled down my list to only include the ones I actually use.

Here are the 6 Chrome Extensions I love as a designer:

1. FPS extension

This FPS extension shows a current Frames Per Second (FPS) on a web page. FPS is a good metric to optimise for when auditing website performance. This allows you to track the load speed of a page and ensure it doesn’t take too long before it fully loads.

60 fps is ideal

2. Window resizer

You definitely need this if you are a web designer. This window resizer extension re-sizes the browser’s window to emulate various resolutions. The resolutions list is completely customizable (you can add/delete/re-order).

You can set the window’s width/height, window’s position, preset icon (phone, tablet, laptop, desktop) and even the option to apply the new dimensions to the entire window or just to the viewport.

Resize the browser window in a click

3. CSSPeeper
