ChatGPT doesn’t have to be boring if you know how to use it. What I love about it is the ability to combine ideas to come up with imaginative concepts. I spent weeks playing around with prompt building and here’s what I discovered.

1. Create a persona of a [dental patient] based on a [tv show personality]

Add a fun element to your persona creation process. This doesn’t replace the research that has to be done to create your persona but it’s a great way to kick off the exercise.

Other texts that can replace tv show personalities include: [real-life scenarios, elderly individuals, busy salesmen, and disabled persons]

2. Challenge a [dashboard design] by coming up with what-if [functionality] questions

This is a quick way to craft a team brainstorming session. Replace “dashboard design” with whatever page you're focusing on and “functionality” with words like “branding”.

3. Create a text-based excel sheet to input your copy suggestions. Assume you have 3 members in your UX writing team.

5. Generate survey questions to understand user preferences and needs for a new [messaging platform] for [remote teams]

6. Generate a sample report of a competitor’s [digital watch] by using online customer reviews. For the sake of this analysis, we will focus on product usability.

7. Brainstorm ideas that prompt the user to collaborate with their team members in a [saas platform]

8. What are the UI cases that need to be considered when designing a [burger menu]

9. Generate a typography style guide for a [mobile application] in excel format.

10. Create a responsive checklist for [charts]

11. What are some micro-interactions to consider when designing an [education platform]

12. Combine the concept [unicorn 🦄 ] and [productivity] to come up with feature ideas

13. Generate a text template in CSV format that considers the information architecture of your [average website]

14. As a designer, what are some gamification techniques I can add to a [language learning app]

15. What are the design best practices for [announcing new features]

16. Generate tooltip text for the following actions: [archive, hide, delete]
