Whether you’re a front-end developer or UI/UX designer, you’ve perhaps got stuck at some point while trying to come up with your own background patterns.

Although I’m not a UI/UX designer, but there were times when I had to come up with my own design for personal projects, and my designs would end up being pretty boring because I’d just put some flat color and move on.

However, from now on I’ll make sure to make use of these resources and I wanted to share them with everyone, so you can use them in future projects.

The Resources

Here’s the list of all the websites I found that were easy to use, had a somewhat variety of designs and were easily customizable.

The last two websites don’t have an option to customize the patterns, but they had some cool collection of designs, so I included them as well.

flaticon

flaticon has an enormous collection of icons that can be used to generate a variety of patterns. The color of the icons and the background can be customized. Also size, angle, opacity and some other minor things can be tweaked as well.

wweb

Although wweb has offers three choices of patterns, they provide something that none of the other websites mentioned in the article doesn’t provide. And that is an animated background. There’s no way to download this because the app generates a CSS code which can be used in any web project.
